  • If your on a BVe in Australia and want to get married can you apply for a partner visa and do you halfto leave the country

  • My daughter is willing to migrate to Australia from India and her would be partner is on a bridge visa in Australia. Is it possible for her to get a visa on this condition.

    • There are two separate issues at the present time. One is a visa issue and the other is a permission to travel issue.

The first issue is a permission that your daughter would need to come to Australia. Should need to get the permission on her own account as her would-be partner does not have any standing to sponsor her to come here.

This may change if her would-be partner was granted a permanent visa for Australia.

The second issue is that there are restrictions on travel whether or not your daughter gets a visa grant, because of covid-19.

Another concern is the nature of the relationship.
