Are you a Genuine Temporary Entrant?
To meet the criteria for temporary residency or a temporary visa for Australia, you will need to prove to the Department, or at least persuade the Department, that you are indeed a GTE. This means that you must have reasons to return to your home country and show that you will not become a Permanent Resident (lawfully or unlawfully) in Australia. This could be hard if you already have a parallel application being made for a Permanent Residence visa. This area is often quite complicated.
But for any Student visa or Visitor visa, the GTE requirement is particularly important. There is no easy checklist approach to use, to make certain that you meet the GTE requirement. If you have concerns that immigration may identify you as being a visa holder that is perhaps not a genuine temporary entrant, then please contact me to best discuss how to put your case forward.
