This is to thank Nilesh and Ieva for the excellent work they did to finally achieve a full Spouse Visa for my wife Trissy. My circumstances were different to the norm because I had already had 2 failed marriages to 2 Indonesian women which failed through no fault of mine. Under Australian Immigration Law you are only allowed to have 2 Marriages to people from overseas. I met Trissy in May 2012 and became a couple in August of that year, finally getting married in February 2014. This is when the fun began and it took nearly 5 years to achieve the desired result. This is all due to the efforts of Nilesh and Ieva and I would have no hesitation in recommending their Legal Firm to handle any Visa problems that you are having. Eric Hamer Mandurahread more

My case was suppose to be a dead end. I went to different lawyers but couldn't get a satisfactory advice until i stumbled upon reviews of other people who had something nice to say about MyVisa. I got quality and professional advice and services from them. What turned out to be a dead end eventually came positive. I will recommend MyVisa anyday anytime.read more

Dear Nilesh, Ieva and Josh, sorry we took this long to do the review, as we're still basking in the good news that the tribunal gave us, a big thank you to Nilesh and your team. We had given up all hope and as a last resort we approached you. You took us through the process step by step and finally instilled hope that we had lost in the system. thank you very much Sire, three hearty cheers to you and your team. We have no hesitation in recommending your services to anyone seeking your professionalism and expertise. Who are the best Immigration Lawyers In Perth?

Decide for yourself who the best immigration lawyers/Agent in Perth are.

First, you’ll need a list of ALL lawyers/Agent in Perth who are qualified in immigration.

Start with an “immigration lawyer” list

The simplest way to get an up-to-the-minute list of immigration lawyers is to search the relevant government register.

You can access the MARA register using this link:

Search-For-Immigration-Lawyers

Once you open the link to the MARA site, be sure to:

1. Select Location as “Perth” and

2. Select “Show only migration agents who ARE also Australian Legal Practitioners.

By way of example, I have shown how I have done this in the image above.

How skillful or experienced is my migration agent/lawyer?

Even if someone is a lawyer on this list, they might not be your best choice.

If you are appealing a refusal or cancellation of a visa or citizenship application, you’ll benefit from the skills and experience of an immigration lawyer dedicated to immigration law matters.

Getting on the list above means they have the qualifications, but you’ll need more than that to get the immigration outcome your need.

From the list itself, it is very hard to understand how skillful or experienced an immigration lawyer is. It could well be that they haven’t run any (or many) immigration appeals in the AAT themselves, or that they have run any immigration appeals in the Federal Circuit Court or Federal Court at all.

Talk to at least 2 immigration lawyers/agent on the list.

It’s only through the process of talking with say 2 immigration lawyer about your case, that you’ll get any real reference point for deciding whether he or she is the best immigration lawyer for your matter.

You should call people on the list above, make an appointment to see them and ask them about their experience in your type of matter and discuss recent cases they have personally managed.

I’m aware that some practitioners do not charge a fee for providing their time and having a chat with you. But be careful with free advice or free consultations.

Quickie or a formal consultation?

In my experience, a free and quick chat is of very limited use to you because it gets you nowhere.

Why? Well.. it is impossible to properly advise you unless a methodical and rigorous process of fact-finding and background briefing is completed first – and before any clear written advice addressing the big issues you need advice on about your case, can be provided to you.

If you are appealing an immigration decision that is adverse to you,  I would strongly suggest you to get at least two separate written opinions. This means having (and paying for) separate consultations with two immigration lawyers who are knowledgeable about the workings of the Migration Act and the Migration Regulations but more importantly about how to run your case, because they have done it before.

Yes! this means spending money on two consultations. as well as time. Trust me. Its worth it and will save you a lot of money ion the long term.

Recent cases

Here is a list of immigration cases in which I’ve personally acted, in the Perth registry of the Federal Circuit Court.

  1. PEG395/2013 Charles Kiptoo Kemei v Minister for Immigration and Border Protection & Anor.
  2. PEG61/2014 Lilian Tagliari Machado v Minister for Immigration and Border Protection & Anor.
  3. PEG425/2015 BXQ15 v Minister for Immigration and Border Protection & Anor.
  4. PEG122/2016 Fong Yun Anna Ko & Ors v Minister for Immigration and Border Protection & Anor.
  5. PEG186/2016 Trissjawati Kurnia v Minister for Immigration and Border Protection & Anor.
  6. PEG208/2016 Nazreen Runghsawmee v Minister for Immigration and Border Protection & Anor.
  7. IBRAHIM BOLAJI OLANIYI v MINISTER FOR IMMIGRATION AND BORDER PROTECTION & ANOR.
  8. SAMUEL JEWEL LARNEY v MINISTER FOR IMMIGRATION AND BORDER PROTECTION & ANOR

Usually, I am contacted after a negative decision is received in the AAT, confirming (“affirming”) a visa refusal decision or visa cancellation decision of a delegate of the Minister (Department of Home Affairs).
