Form 1000

Nomination For Distinguished; Global Talent Visa

The nomination for a Global Talent Visa

Under the Migration Regulations 1994, to be granted a Global Talent Visa, an applicant must produce a completed form 1000 (this form) which requires the applicant’s record of achievement in their area of talent to be attested to by an Australian citizen, permanent resident*, eligible New Zealand citizen or an Australian organisation. In this form, that attestation is called a nomination and the person who makes the attestation is you.

By completing and signing this form, you are confirming that in your opinion, the applicant:

  • has an internationally recognised record of exceptional and outstanding achievements in their field.
  • is currently prominent in their field.
  • will be an asset to the Australian community.
  • will be able to obtain employment, or become independently established in their field in Australia.

The nominator should attach:

  • a personal, comprehensive statement summarising details of the applicant’s achievements in their field
  • details of the applicant’s, and your own achievements in your common field.
  • elevant supporting documentation (newspaper/magazine articles, supporting comments from qualified persons, web links) about the applicant.
  • details of employment arrangements or other assistance used to help establish the applicant.
