4114-15 Aircraft Maintenance Engineer(Avionics) skill Level:
An AQF Certificate III or higher qualification. Registration or licensing is required.
4114-15 Aircraft Maintenance Engineer(Avionics) tasks Include:
- studying drawings and specifications to determine layout and location of aircraft electrical and avionic systems and components
- installing and testing aircraft avionic hardware and components
- replacing and testing aircraft panel and racking mounted avionic system components
- replacing and testing aircraft oxygen system components
- inspecting and tests aircraft electrical, avionics, instrument, display, radio- frequency, navigation and communications systems, flight director, automatic flight control and pulse systems and components
- may be manufacturing aircraft electrical, instrument and radio hardware components
