Horseriding Instructor
Coaching, training and instructing horse riders by analysing their performances and developing their abilities.
3993-25 Horseriding Coach Skill Level:
An AQF Diploma or higher qualification or at least 3 years relevant experience is required. Sometimes relevant experience is required as well as, or in place of, formal qualifications or experience. Registration or licensing is required.
3993-25 Horseriding Coach Tasks Include:
- observing performances of riders
- coaching or instructing riders by demonstrating techniques
- overseeing training and evaluating riders' physical condition
- prescribing routines and corrective exercises to strengthen muscles and improve fitness
- evaluating performances and makes changes in strategy
- may be teaching animal care and equipment maintenance
- may be planning and directing contest strategies, analysing riding progress and motivating riders
- may be rendering first aid to injured persons
